Triathlon has given me so much - a sense of achievement in the sporting sense, an insight and interest in musculo-skeletal medicine, the science and physiology of sport and a group of motivated positive thinking friends. My day job involves on-going child protection and mentoring roles as well as negotiation skills - but as welfare officer I've also done sport’s specific welfare training.
I have also trained up as a Level 1 Coach and am a Regional Technical Officer (referee). In 2015 I competed on the GB Age Group team for the European Championships in Geneva in the sprint event. In 2016 I gained my L2 British Cycling Coaching qualification.
You are welcome to get in touch: I can be contacted via the website and generally am able to respond within a short time frame.
I am the mum of two (now very grown up) boys and my motto is “onwards and upwards.”
Ellen-Ann is the welfare officer for the club. She ensures the child protection policy is implemented and that good practice is followed in all aspects of the club’s running.
