Club roles and responsibilities
To ensure that adequate volunteering is observed amongst the club’s membership, and ensure there are adequate opportunities for the membership to volunteer. They will liaise with club volunteers, and assign roles as appropriate. The coordinator will be expected to ensure that the club’s policy of ‘volunteering once per year’ is observed.
The club committee and the chairperson. Also works in close association with event coordinators.
Experience and skills required:
Have experience in previous volunteering roles, and basic knowledge of what each role consists of, and the ideal person to suit these roles. They must be comfortable communicating with other volunteers and delegating tasks.
Time requirements are seasonal depending on club races and events. Typically will require consistent work to coordinate attendance of volunteers at sessions.
Liaising with volunteers and coaches in all aspects of the club’s events and training sessions.
